The Union’s extension services were mainly centered on advising farmers on good management of tobacco production. The services included: –
- Preparing and supervising approved development programs related to members
- Giving advices to farmers on preparation of tobacco seed beds
- Giving advices to farmers on planting tobacco seedlings
- Advising farmers on good practices of tobacco farm management.
- Advising farmers on good practices of harvesting tobacco leaves
- Advising farmers on good practices of drying and storage of tobacco.
The Union’s Extension Services are a driving force behind LATCU’s success story in achieving upward trend in its performance.
